What Oneonta Park Do You Use Most?
Oneonta boasts more parks than you may realize. If we include the Town of Oneonta, then you'll have five parks to choose from! Here they are:
Fortin Park: 101 Youngs Rd., Oneonta. This park is the biggest Oneonta park on 95 acres of land. This is a beautiful park with a lot of uses.
Neahwa Park: This park right near center city is home to the Oneonta Outlaws and offers a lot of sporting opportunities, along with beautiful Hodges Pond.
Susquehanna River Park: Located at the end of Silas Lane, near I-88 exit 13, the park is home to soccer fields and the Oneonta Greenway. The Greenway goes along the Susquehanna and a great trail for bird enthusiasts.
Swart Wilcox Historic Park: In this park next to Riverside Elementary School, you'll find soccer fields, a baseball field, plots for the city's Community Gardens program, and of course the oldest house in Oneonta - The Swart-Wilcox House & Museum.
Wilber Park: This two-level park has Briggs Pool, tennis courts, a great playground, wonderful walking trails and picnicking opportunities.
