A Siena College poll released yesterday on the topic of the coronavirus revealed that most New Yorkers polled (62%) find that the worst of the pandemic is still to come and 70% want the government to make it a priority to contain the spread of the virus even if it hurts the economy.  In addition, the poll reveals that 82% believe that it is either very (39%) or somewhat (43%) likely that in the fall, there will be another large outbreak of COVID-19 in New York State.

According to Siena College, those sentiments are the same regardless of age, political leanings and location. 8 in 10 are also worried that they or a family member will contract COVID-19. More than 6 in 10 say they still do not feel comfortable eating inside a restaurant.
