Have you seen The Memory Garden located behind the Oneonta High School?  It has long been one of my favorite spots to walk to over the years and take a quiet moment.  It came to life back in 2002, built by Oneonta High School students, Asbury Gardens, and members of the community.  It was mainly designed by Brian Brian Fawcett from Asbury Gardens with Maureen Haehnel designing the perennial garden in the center. The garden has a small pond, a gazebo and a paved walkway where names of departed loved ones we want to memorialize are engraved onto brick paving stones.

Volunteers have been getting it ready for Oneonta High School's graduation coming up on June 29 to make it look more beautiful and are still looking for some helping hands to remove more weeds this Saturday, June 22nd from 10 am - 2pm.  For those who would like to join in the beautification of the garden, bring appropriate tools for the work.

More Info about the garden and the Compassionate Friends Support Group can be found at www.tcfoneonta.org. If you have a monetary or plant donation please call Diana at 607-433-2089, or email tcfoneonta@gmail.com.

If you would like to volunteer to help, email Michael Haehnel at mchaehnel@gmail.com.
