New This Holiday Season: ‘The Great Otsego Holiday Light Trail’
Every year, my family hops in the car for our annual holiday light drive. There's no map. We simply drive around Oneonta and look for holiday light displays on people's houses and it's always been a family favorite activity.
Thanks to the efforts of Julie Dostal at LEAF Inc., along with Townsquare Media in Oneonta and AllOTSEGO, that holiday light drive just got a whole lot better! Now, anyone who wants to get serious about maximizing holiday light fun can participate in a mapped out holiday light excursion called "The Great Otsego Holiday Light Trail" which encompasses awesome Otsego County holiday light displays.
As people suggest addresses of wonderful displays, the location of that light display gets added to the map. More are getting added all the time. If your family has a holiday light display, or you know where one is that you would like to share with everyone, then submit the address of it and a digital photo (if you can) to the facebook page, "The Great Otsego Holiday Light Trail".
The more we all add, the better! Then you can choose your holiday light ride excursion based on where you would like to go. We would love for this to become a big annual holiday tradition for Otsego County!
