22nd District Congressman Anthony Brindisi has announced that he has written a letter to New York City Mayor Bill DiBlasio asking that he reverse a plan to ban chocolate milk in city schools. Brindisi says he’s concerned that taking the milk out of schools will mean kids will get less nutrients and it will also hurt New York State dairy farmers who produce the chocolate milk used in city schools. Those who support banning flavored milk sales in schools have expressed concern about the amount of sugar the beverages contain.
