The 2014 Volvo Drive-E commercial is more of a short movie than it is a commercial, with Swedish singer Robyn driving one of the brand's cars throughout L.A. in scenes that are juxtaposed with shots of nature, as she speaks in hushed tones to a mysterious voice on the phone. As she drives throughout the city, she turns a song on in the car with a a powerful, electric beat. What is it?

The tune is Robyn's own 'Monument,' featuring Royksopp. Recently, Robyn spoke to Billboard about her decision to be in the commercial, which is about the new, low-emission engines for the Volvo brand -- something that Robyn, who is passionate about the environment, can get behind.

"It's not a commercial about a car -- it's a commercial about a way of thinking," she reveals to Billboard about the ad, which was directed by her boyfriend Max Vitali.

"I wanted it to be personal, and it was very, very challenging to make something that wasn't about pointing fingers or that was depressing," she explains about the dialogue in the commercial, which she penned herself. "I wanted to express that the only thing we really have is each other. Maybe there's no real answer right now, but it's nice to know that other people are thinking about it as well."
