Two Arrested In Car Theft Case
The New York State Police have a man and woman in custody who were sought for fleeing from a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle on December 27th.
Ryan Markoff, 28, of Windsor, and Angela Weyrauch, 31, of Hancock, were taken into custody on Sunday night after they were spotted at McDonald's in Whitney Point. Troopers were alerted by a citizen that they were inside the restaurant and arrested them without incident.
Markoff was charged with third-degree grand larceny and Weyrauch was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Conklin Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
