Food And Drink Ban Ended For Funeral Homes
According to a press release from The New York State Funeral Directors Association, funeral homes in New York are now allowed to serve food and non alcoholic beverages at the home during services. The measure signed into law six months ago allows funeral directors to offer this additional service as another way to comfort the bereaved. Those making funeral pre-arrangements, visiting as part of a funeral or memorial ceremony, or attending an open house or other similar community function relating to funeral directing can also have the service made available.
