Oneonta Police Make Arrest in Suspicious Powder Incident

Wednesday, City of Oneonta Police arrested 43 year old inmate Kristopher Surdis at the Woodburne correctional facility on suspicion he sent an envelope containing a suspicious powder to Oneonta Police on March 22nd, 2016.

 According to investigators the incident happened in March when a Records Division employee opened the letter that contained a white powder that later turned out to be harmless.

Surdis faces charges with placing a false bomb or hazardous substance and aggravated harassment.
