Tiffany Darwish from Norwalk, California, was the pop star that created the "Mall Tour".  Singing at shopping malls across the country proved to be marketing genius as Tiffany gained major commercial success.  Her remake of the 1967, Tommy James and the Shondells, "I Think We're Alone Now", made her a pop sensation.

Tiffany climbed to number one with her version of the single, on this day, November 7, 1987.  At age 16, she became a major pop star with "I Think We're Alone Now".

1987, Tiffany became the youngest act to score a US No.1 since Michael Jackson ('Ben', in 1972) with 'I Think we're Alone Now'.
