Sponge Cake or Biscuit? [Poll]

Today, August 23rd, is National Sponge Cake Day.  The cake is light, fluffy and sweet and can be used in many desserts.  Probably one of the most popular is in strawberry shortcake.   During the summer months, it seems so natural to find sponge cake located next to the strawberries at the grocery store.  It's not that I dislike sponge cake, it is just that when it comes to strawberry shortcake, I prefer biscuits!  I know they are easy to make but I usually head to the bakery section and grab a pan.  Angel food cake is a tasty alternative too.

It's a summer favorite!
