Oneonta Revitalization Public Meeting Coming

A Public Meeting on the topic of Oneonta’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00 pm in the Foothills Performing Arts Center Atrium. Up to date information on proposed projects for Oneonta’s downtown will be presented by Stantec Urban Planners, Otsego Now, and the Local Planning Committee. The public will be provided with opportunities to express their ideas for Oneonta’s downtown.

In July of 2016, Governor Cuomo announced that the City of Oneonta was selected to be the recipient of $10M to transform Oneonta’s downtown into a community that would attract the workforce of tomorrow as a place to live and work. The award was based upon Oneonta’s proposal entitled Authentically Oneonta. The winning proposal communicated a vision of Downtown Oneonta as a pedestrian-friendly center of innovation serving the growing number of food and beverage producers in this region.
