An additional $1.5 million in funding is allocated for ‘Feeding New York State’ to support its network of 10 regional food banks, as well as local farms to help provide milk and produce to food insecure New Yorkers according to Governor Andrew Cuomo's office. This funding, made available through the State’s Environmental Protection Fund will enable Feeding New York State to distribute an additional 900,000 gallons of shelf-stable milk and 6.7 million pounds of New York-grown produce to regional food banks.
