Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers Today in Music History [Video]

Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, a group from England, scored their first number one hit in the U.K. with, "Swing The Mood", on this day, August 5, 1989.  Early rock and roll records were infused with Glenn Miller music to create this unique medley that is still played at nearly every wedding reception I have been to. 

DJ Les Hemstock and mixers John Pickles, along with son, Andy Pickles, and Ian Morgan are the master minds behind the hit single, but an animated rabbit, Jive Bunny, was the face of the group.  The song would later climb to number eleven on the U.S. singles chart in November of that same year.
