Hartwick College Student Megan Dunleavy Falls to Death in Thompson

Megan Dunleavy, a 21-year-old Hartwick College student, died Friday from a fall at Kutsher's Resort in the Town of Thompson while working for a concert promoter.

State Police said Dunleavy, of Redding, Conn., fell accidentally from the five story building. No foul play is suspected.

Dunleavy, who was studying chemistry at Hartwick, was working for promoter Damn Sam Productions and assisting in the organization and planning of the New York Harvest Festival and Freedom Fair, scheduled for October 11-14.

Town officials shut the facilities down because of reported code violations.
