Candy Canes A Favorite Holiday Treat

Something about this time of year that makes candy canes seem so yummy.  I am a real fan.  I like the mini ones best because you can chomp them right up.  I usually keep some in my purse for a sweet way to quickly freshen my breath.  Almost 2 billion candy canes will be sold this holiday season.

I love putting a candy cane in my hot chocolate or even my coffee.  Great topping for those frosted cookies, too!  I don't why I always wait until the holidays to enjoy the peppermint flavored treat.  I mean, peppermint candies are sold all year.  I guess it is the shape and fun colors that make the difference.  Even with all of the varieties that are now available, I still go for the classic red and white.
