Can The Nets Win Title Without Harden
Kevin Durant’s returned to the Nets lineup joining Kyrie Irving and a combined 67 points, as Brooklyn defeated the Phoenix Suns 128-119 at the Barclay Center last night
The Brooklyn Net currently hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference, a game and a half ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers.
James Harden remains out indefinitely with a hamstring injury, and the big question can the Nets win the conference and head to the finals without him?
Once the “Big Three” was locked in back in January, many analysts, oddsmakers, and fans felt this is a championship team, but injuries have kept Harden, Irving and Durant from a string of games together.
The Nets added a few pieces to help their bench and injury substitutions, Blake Griffin has been good off the bench and the balance has helped the Brooklyn continue to win big games.
The Nets have eleven games left and could face a number of teams in the first round, including the Pacers, Hornets, Wizards, and Heat.
The Eastern Conference has some teams that have greatly improved over the past 15 to 20 games, the Washington Wizards have won eight straight and the New York Knicks have won nine straight.
Can the Nets go all the way without James Harden, it’s possible with a healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the team is solid enough to get to the Conference finals, but can they win the East, and match up against the dominant Western Conference.
The Nets remaining schedule included the raptors Trailblazers, Mavericks, Nuggets and a back to back series with the Milwaukee Bucks’
This could be an exciting finish.
