Who’s That Girl in Today’s Music History? [Video]

Madonna, the queen of pop music, is noted today in music history.  August 22nd, 1987, Madonna captured a number one song on the U.S. singles chart with "Who's That Girl".  It became her sixth number U. S. single.  The song is the theme to the movie "Who's That Girl" starring Madonna and Griffin Dunne.  Madonna's character, Nikki Finn, is a free spirited ex convict who is looking to prove her innocence.  This was Madonna's third major movie role, following the 1985 comedy-drama Desperately Seeking Susan with Rosanna Arquette and 1986 adventure-comedy Shanghai Surprise, with then husband Sean Penn.
