Otsego County Board of Representatives

A new Starbucks is under construction on Oneonta's Southside. Fans of the popular coffee brand are thrilled since the only Starbucks in Oneonta is located in the Hunt Union on the SUNY Oneonta campus.

The Otsego County Board of Representatives just passed a resolution proclaiming Otsego County as a “Purple Heart County”. This proclamation gives due respect and admiration to past and present members of the military but especially the many in our county who have received purple heart medals.

In addition to the hiring of a county administrator, the county board approved hiring 20 EMS staff members who will be part of Otsego County's new emergency ambulance service.

A State of Emergency has been declared in Otsego County for the Town of Butternuts, Pittsfield, and Morris.

Like other municipalities, Otsego County is facing a large revenue shortfall because of the coronavirus outbreak

The Cooperstown DMV is more centrally located in the County

Due to a dramatic loss of tax revenues
