The Oneonta Hometown 4th parade and festival were fantastic this year thanks to volunteers and the First Night Oneonta committee.

There are of course all kinds of fun activities for people to enjoy on a holiday weekend like this and if you're wondering what most people are up to then you've come to the right place.

Every year we get families and friends together for merriment, and most uniquely of any of our holidays, we set off tons of fireworks. But why do we do this?

Did you make it to Oneonta's first ever Hometown 4th of July parade on Friday?

Hanford Mills Museum, in East Meredith, New York, will hold its annual Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 4 from 10 am – 5 pm. The festival features a children’s fishing derby, frog-jumping contest (bring your own frog), live music, and food.
