America’s 2021 July Fourth Plans Revealed
We're heading into the 4th of July weekend and everyone is looking forward to celebrating America's Independence in a big way after last year's COVID shutdown and event cancelations. We can't wait to have fun this July 4th with family and friends! One of the best things about the 4th of July in my opinion is the highly anticipated, delicious picnic. You can be assured that's exactly what my extended family will be doing this Sunday, especially since it's my mom's birthday.
There are of course all kinds of fun activities for people to enjoy on a holiday weekend like this and if you're wondering what most people are up to then you've come to the right place.
KOAA.com just conducted a survey of American adults, asking how they planned to observe the holiday. Here's what they found out:
- 64% will participate in a Cookout, BBQ or picnic
- 20% will enjoy a Fireworks/community parade
- 10% are traveling
- 5% are camping
Are you participating in any of those things? I know we've got a family picnic planned but also, we've got fireworks and the Hometown 4th parade in Oneonta on our fun list for Sunday. There's no shortage of fun community events, we just have to hope that the weather cooperates for us all and at this point on Friday morning, it doesn't look great for today and tomorrow but on Independence Day, The National Weather Service of Binghamton is calling for partly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers and a high around 72. Considering what today and tomorrow look like, Sunday looks great! Cross your fingers everyone.
