Today in music history we go back to 1988, when the most played songs of the first hundred years were announced.  The jukebox heroes weren't the members of the rock band, Foreigner that would have been too, cool.  The award went to two singers who had a couple of decades on the group.

The Chenango County Council of the Arts is excited about the concert Saturday evening when Elvis comes back to Chenango County for a “Blue Suede” Christmas. Joyce Zumo of the Arts Council says the concert will be appreciated by all age groups, especially those who grew up in the Elvis era.

Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the late Elvis Presley, is our focus in music history today.  August 10th, 2002, Lisa Marie married actor, Nicholas Cage in Hawaii.  Cage filed for divorce less than four months later.  This was Presley's third marriage.
