New York has won another important victory in State Supreme Court, striking a blow against street drug alternatives.

State Supreme Court justice James McClusky issued a decision late Monday, holding business owner John Tebbetts, III, responsible for selling deceptively labeled designer drugs to consumers from his many stores throughout the state.

Tebbetts owned smoke shops, most of which sold bath salts and smoking accessories, throughout central New York. He had shops located in Oneida, Syracuse, Utica, Herkimer, Watertown and Cicero.
