Sprayed By A Skunk at 3:35AM

I can not get the smell of skunk out of my nose!  Let's just say the way my morning started, really stinks!

Our windows were all open last night for a cool breeze while we slept.  It worked cause I was sound asleep, cozy in my bed, when it happened.  3:35am, awoken by the smell of skunk.  Not a light hint but a major stench came rushing through the window by the head of our bed.  OMG!  Nooooooo!  I quickly rose and closed the windows in the bedroom and my husband closed the others but it was too late.

The smell was all over house.  We reversed all the fans to blow the smell out, frebrezed like crazy then decided there was nothing more we could do until the smell settled down outside.  So we tried laying back down when all of a sudden there was a scratch on the door.  Oh, no!  The dog had gone out earlier and yes, he was sprayed.

So here I am at 4am bathing the dog outside (no worries-warm water hook up) because there was no way he was coming inside.  The whole time I'm looking over my shoulder to make sure Mr. Skunky Skunk wasn't hanging around.  Come to find out that one of my kitties was in the line of fire, too.  But she wasn't having any part of a bath.

I frebrezed the house again, scrubbed, then came into work.  I can still smell it.  It is in my nose and it is making me a little sick.  Not a great way to start the day.  At least it is Friday!
