Snow Day A Kid’s Best Friend

Ever notice how bright eyed and bushied tailed kids get when they hear the words "snow day"?  We woke up to a lot of snow this morning, just like everyone else.  Everyone was anticipating school closings.  My son has been sick the past couple of days and wasn't going to be going back today anyway, but even he was thrilled it was a snow day.

He had already informed me that would need to stay home anyway because he had passed his germs to his toys and that he would need to stay with them.  So, I wonder if he thinks I really bought that...

Anyway, so far this morning my daughter has already hosted a dance party, my son has set up hospital for his toys, we set up and tore down a blanket fort, and managed to squeeze in breakfast.  Now it is movie time and I'm looking at all of the shoveling that needs to be done.  I think some well deserved cuddle time is in order.  I mean the snow isn't going anywhere anyway.
