Localized flooding in Chenango and Otsego Counties has impacted some area school schedules today.  The National Weather Service of Binghamton has issued a Flash Flood warning for those two counties which means that flooding is currently occurring or is imminent.  The NWS mentions certain vulnerable areas in its warning:
Oneonta, Norwich, Sidney, Guilford, Worcester, Middlefield,
Hartwick, Maryland, Cooperstown and Westville.

Residents who live along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property and move to higher ground if needed.
