Today, in music history was an incredible day for Shania Twain.  April 16, 1999, Twain became the first woman to receive the Singer/Songwriter of the Year Award, given by the Nashville Songwriters Association International.  The honor was presented at the 32nd Annual Songwriters Achievement Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Currently, Twain is headlining her "You're Still The One" show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
