Price Chopper Stores Across New York Team Up With Girl Scouts

On its website, Price Chopper states, “We’re not just in your neighborhood, we’re your neighbor” and they’re putting those words to action in a major way.

Local Girl Scouts groups have been struggling to make ends meet because they’ve not been able to get out into the public to sell their cookies. In an effort to help, Price Chopper has announced that all of their stores in New York will be partnering with the Girl Scouts to help them sell more than 300,000 boxes of cookies.

In an interview with WRGB, Scott Grimmett, president and CEO of Price Chopper/Market 32 said, “It pairs us with a dynamic and historically significant non-profit organization that does great work empowering girls in our communities, while at the same time enabling us to give our customers access to these delicious cookies, which remain an iconic part of the American experience.”

Effective immediately, Price Chopper stores through the state will have displays set up in their stores and will sell Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, and Lemon-Ups for $5 per box.

Money raised through the sale of Girl Scout cookies at Price Chopper stores will benefit the local Girl Scout Troops in each community in which they were sold. Cookies can also be bought online and be picked up curbside or delivered through Price Chopper's delivery partner, Instacart.
