According to a new poll from Siena College, more New Yorkers hate the newly-enacted bail reform law than approve of it. The study released on Tuesday found 49 percent disapproved to 37 percent in favor. Those numbers were reversed last April before the measure included in the 2019-2020 budget was approved. Law enforcement agencies along with some state lawmakers have come out strongly against the reforms saying judges need more discretion on setting bail.
