NYC Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Coming From Upstate NY!
The pride and joy of Upstate New York will be on display for the world to see at the center of the Holiday Season.
The 2022 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will come from Warren County this year. It is an eighty-two-foot Norway Spruce. It is officially from Queensbury and donated by the Lebowitz family from Glens Falls.
The beautiful Christmas Tree is fifty feet wide and weighs fourteen tons and is believed to be anywhere from eighty-five to ninety years old.
When Will it Be Cut Down and Transported?
The Queensbury tree will be cut down in the next few days and then carefully transported two hundred miles to Manhattan to Rockefeller Center to be the centerpiece of the season. Once the tree is erected and secure, it will be dress with more than fifty thousand Christmas LED lights and the topper will be a beautiful Swarovski crystal star.
When Will The Christmas Tree Lighting Take Place?
The 2022 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be lit on November 30th live on News Channel 13. (NBC).
What Will Happen to this Beautiful Rockefeller Christmas Tree When the Season Ends?
After the holiday season, the tree will be taken down and donated. The lumber will be milled and donated to Habitat for Humanity for them to use in future projects.
