"Rocky", the adorable little female Saw-whet owl, that hitch-hiked her way to New York City's Rockefeller Center, tucked away in the branches of the West Oneonta, NY tree that was donated and transported to NYC to become the Christmas tree this year, has been released into the wild, back where she belongs!

Rocky was recuperating at Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties, NY after her accidental ordeal after being discovered in the tree once it reached Rockefeller Center. Unseen Rocky had been without food and water for three days before being discovered.

Ravensbeard Wildlife Center released video footage yesterday of Rocky getting released back into the wild. The exact location has not been released but it is near the Saugerties-based sanctuary, which is in keeping with the owl's migration pattern, heading south. Check out the release below.
