Morris VFW Hosted a Fun Community Easter Party

This past Saturday, the Morris VFW hosted a fun, family, Easter party complete with the Easter Bunny, DJ, wagon rides,snacks, activities and eggs.  We gathered some friends and went on over to enjoy the festivities.  The VFW organized a great party. 

I wanted to bring up the event because I believe in giving credit where credit is due.  The VFW provided all this for free!  Area families were able to go enjoy a nice afternoon and every child walked away with goodies, Easter eggs, and smiles.  Now, after chatting with some members, I learned that the Morris VFW hosts several family events throughout the year.

You might remember a couple of Falls ago, the radio station teamed up with Family Services to help collect back to school supplies for those who needed a little help.  The Morris VFW showed up with a HUGE donation of various supplies.  Very generous.  Just a side note to that, Big Chuck and I were having a friendly competition of who could collect the most items.  Thanks to the Morris VFW, I won by a landslide!
