How is This Upstate NY Airport the Most Stressful in Entire US?
As we gear up for holiday travel, here's something to keep in mind. Traveling always has some stress involved, but a study was done that identified the most stressful airports in the United States. Two New York airports made the list but surprisingly this Upstate New York airport landed at #1!
Where Did The Data Come From?
A survey conducted by a company called Hawaiian Islands gathered data from Google reviews from all over the United States according to Travel Off Path. We have all been there, long lines at the TSA checkpoint, crowded terminals with no place to sit, and countless delayed flights, the stress is real. These reviews took all of that into consideration. It's important to note that just because the airport may be bustling, it doesn't mean it's the most stressful.
The Most Stressful Airport in US is in Upstate NY!
When we first heard about this survey, the airport that came to mind was JFK International Airport in New York City. If you thought the same thing, you aren't entirely wrong. JFK came in at #7. Also Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, NJ had to be on the list too. It came in at #2.
Albany International Airport is the Most Stressful in the US!
Among the top ten most stressful airports throughout the country, according to this survey, Albany International Airport lands in the top spot! I have to disagree. I have had no stress flying into and out of Albany. The TSA lines are usually manageable, and most of the flights are on time. I guess I don't fly enough. I don't agree that Albany is more stressful than Atlanta (#10) or Orlando (#5).
