Hospice Presents First Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day [Audio]
Get the family to start a new family tradition. Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care is hosting the first annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot, November 28, 2013. A great way to keep fit during the holidays. Best part is, that proceeds will help fund Hospice’s “Perfect Gift” program which provides unique and lasting experiences for Hospice families.
Super prizes include hotels overnight and dinner vouchers for first place in both the men's and women's division. Also homemade pies will be awarded to placing runners. The kick off of the race will include a balloon release in memory of lost loved ones. (With biodegradable balloons and string, of course.) Hospice volunteers Sarah and Terri tell us more about the event:
