Assemblyman Cliff Crouch attended the 38th Annual Lobsterfest Sunday in Norwich. During an interview, crouch talked about two issues, the NY SAFE Act and flood relief. The assemblyman commented on the governor’s executive order last week, giving $16 million in state aid to Herkimer County and the Mohawk Valley for flood recovery

"With the flood assistance, we do whatever we can to get more money back into this distressed area, whether it's down on Long Island or here in Central New York," Crouch said. "We've been hammered two or three times since 2006. One of the things the governor did this last week is he held a conference on flooding and restoration. I think we will be able to get additional money extracted out of that. He talked about having the local people decide how they want to come back and that's a good thing."

Crouch said they are waiting to hear the details of the plan and will do what has to be done to keep it moving.
