Heavy rains last night in Otsego County left water covered highways and seeped into buildings in Oneonta.

Several roads were flooded between 9 p.m.-11 p.m., and buildings were damaged including Oneonta City Hall. Crews worked through the night to prevent more water from seeping into the building.

In Oneonta, police say parts of Market St., Main St., and Chestnut St. were closed Monday night for about a 30 minutes between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office reports that flooded streets were monitored Monday night.
