It’s hard not to give the Giants and Jets high grades after their 2021 draft picks. You never know for sure until they hit the field, but both General Mangers Giants Dave Gettleman and jets Joe Douglas came through the draft with flying colors. Gettleman traded down twice and gained three draft picks in the process , and getting Azeez Ojulari OLB from Georgia in the second round was a steal. After the Jets got the quarterback they wanted in Zach Wilson, they got him some protection. Alijah-Vera-Tucker from USC was considered the best offensive guard in the draft. We will see how it all pans out, but on paper, both the Jets and Giants fared very well.

We had Tom Canavan on the show to discuss the Giants draft but also the prospect of the future of head coach Joe Judge. I think Judge has done a very good job and is the future long time HC of the franchise but Canavan slowed our roll a little bit. In a stunning answer above, he likened the love for Judge to what we were saying about former Giants Head Coach Ben McAdoo after his first season where the team won 11 games and made the playoffs. We all know the next season went poorly, he benched Eli Manning ending his consecutive games streak and was promptly fired after a 2-10 start to the year.

This all begs the question, were we loving on Ben McAdoo in 2016 and early 2017. Here are a couple of tweets by Giants beat writers that prove maybe there's a chance this is déjà vu now with Joe Judge. There is always a chance but this feels different to me. Only time will tell.
