
Cost of Thanksgiving is Up
Preparing Thanksgiving dinner will cost slightly more this season. The increase? About $0.28 to $1.80 so not a huge difference. The average dinner includes turkey, potatoes, onions, green beans, celery, milk, butter, cranberry sauce, canned pumpkin, pie crust, bread, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth.
The American Farm Bureau Federation conducted a survey and the average dinner will cost around $49.48. One hundred fifty-five shoppers in thrity-five states were asked to shop to come up with the average cost.
