Chenango Lake Perch Derby Postponed

Due to the warm weather this winter, the annual Chenango Lake Perch Derby scheduled for this coming Saturday has been rescheduled to February 23.

Sponsor of the event, the Oxford Lions Club, says a number of people have pre-registered for the derby and if canceled, the $1,000 prize sponsored by NBT Bank will be raffled off to all pre-registered contestants.

Registration for the derby is from 6 am-1 pm Feb. 23 on the lake. Prizes will be given away for the largest perch caught every 15 minutes of the derby. For more information on the derby go online to oxfordlions.org or call Mayhoods Sporting Goods at 334-2001.
