This Sunday, September 1, 2013 is the West Kortright Fair at the West Kortright Centre, East Meredith, N.Y.  It will be a food and music extravaganza from noon to 6pm.  Just $5 per person.  The event is rain or shine.  Children's activities including incredible hats by Wacky Wendy...

Had a great time at the Otsego County Fair in Morris, N.Y., yesterday.  My fair day started with our live broadcast and included harness racing, watching some livestock shows, washing sheep (yes, I said washing sheep), food, pig racing, and parade with fireworks being the finale.  Met some great people and learned some a few things along the way.  Here is my photo/video diary of the day:

Yesterday, I did something that I have never done before.  I flew a kite!  It was really very easy, fun, and relaxing.  Once I caught a breeze, I was flying.  I don't know why but I always thought it would be complicated.

This Saturday, April 6, 2013 join Greater Plains Elementary School PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) for their Spring Shopping Extravaganza.  The event will be from 10am-2pm in the school gym, 60 West End Avenue, Oneonta, N.Y.  Admission is free and open to the public...
