Hot weather for the next few days means we all need to take extra precautions to stay safe.  According the National Weather Service, heat is the number one weather related killer in the United States causing hundreds of fatalities each year.

1.  Keep hydrated - drink plenty of fluids, even if you are not thirty. Avoid alcohol and caffeine.

3.  Wear loose fitting, light colored clothes- dark colors absorb heat.

4.  Never leave children, elderly, or pets in an enclosed vehicle -cars get extremely hotter than the outside temperature.

Take it easy out there.  Make sure to take breaks, stay in the shade or air conditioning if you can.  Please make sure your pets have proper shade and plenty of water.  These easy tips to follow can make a big difference in hot weather.
