1862 Replica Schooner ‘Lois McClure’ Begins Six-Week Tour

A complete replica of an 1862 canal schooner entered the New York state canal system Wednesday in Oswego on a six-week tour of the 524-mile canal system.

The “Lois McClure” will visit 40 communities along the interconnected waterways of the Oswego Canal, the Erie Canal, the Champlain Canal and Lake Champlain.
