RODGER'S QUICK TAKE: New Jersey Devils made a great hire in Lindy Ruff. Ruff took the Buffalo Sabres to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1998 and made 8 playoff appearances in 15 seasons in Buffalo. Devils have hit rock bottom and Ruff whose considered a great teacher of the game, will work his wonders with a young team.

Ruff has been an assistant with the Rangers since 2017, and just waiting for the right fit. Safe to say, he found it with the Devils.
