I've always had a thing for names that are a little different or could be considered unique (which is definitely not my kind way of saying awful, I swear!) because it's a name not often heard anymore.

Digging through data from the Social Security Administration, I took a peek at the top baby girl names in New York so far for 2021 and it looks like older names are starting to become popular again. The top five baby girl names in New York in 2021 are Emily, Ashley, Samantha, Sarah, and Kayla.

If you or someone you know is expecting a baby girl and you're looking for a name that is a little bit old-timey but not necessarily one that a lot of people are using, take a peek!
