View Virtual Candidates Forum for NYS 121st State Assembly Race
Need help deciding on who to vote for in the race for NY State 121st district in the Assembly? The League of Women Voters of Cooperstown and Oneonta are holding an on-line candidate forum Monday, October 26 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The seat is currently held by John Salka, the Republican incumbent in this race joined by Daniel Buttermann (D), and Jake Cornell (L). Corey Mosher is on the ballot but has ended his campaign.
The 121st Assembly District includes the majority of towns in Otsego County, including the city of Oneonta and the villages of Richfield Springs and Cooperstown. The District includes all of Madison County and the southern portion of Oneida County. Members of the New York State Assembly pass bills on public policy matters, set levels for state spending, and work with the State Senate and the Governor to create laws and establish a state budget.
