Twinkies Making a Sweet Comeback in July

For those who are still mourning the loss of Hostess brand Twinkies, good news.  They are coming back!  The sweet, angel food cake with creamy center is scheduled to make it's way back to store shelves on July 15, 2013.  Snack cake lovers, rejoice!

Eric and I can appreciate the significance of this news however we both admittedly prefer other packaged snack cake treats.  Little Debbie Nutty Butty bars are probably my favorite but they aren't really a snack cake so I will go with Zingers.  They are really just a fancified Twinkie.  Raspberry Iced Hostess Zinger, (you know, the one with coconut allover it) makes me smile.  My second choice would be the the vanilla Zinger, which is basically a Twinkie with frosting.

Eric picked Oreos.  I tried to explain we were talking about snack cakes but it is one of those things.  Sometimes it is easier to pick your battles.
