There is no stopping Pharrell Williams and his super single, "Happy".  It is the number one song for six consecutive weeks.  Let's see who else is hot as we countdown the Top 8@8.

Although this Berlin, Germany, rock group only had one charting U.S. hit, they had everyone singing "99 Red Balloons", the anti-nuclear protest song  The band, Nena, featured singer/actress, Gabriele "Nena" Kerner on lead vocals.  The single was originally released in German, "99 Luftballons", then re-recorded in English as "99 Red Balloons".

September 25, in 2006 was the day in music history that proved Justin Timberlake brought "Sexyback".  Timberlake climbed his way to the number spot with his hit song "Sexyback" on the U.S. single chart.  The song went on to become Timberlake's first number one single on the Billboard's Top 100 chart and remained at number one for seven weeks...

Today in music history, we go back to 1994.  Wet, Wet, Wet celebrated their sixth week at number one on the U.K. singles chart with their hit, "Love Is All Around".  The single would remain at number one for a total of fifthteen weeks.

On this day, August 27, 1986, former lead singer of the Commodores,  Lionel Richie, hit #1 on the U.S. album charts with "Dancing On The Ceiling".  This was Richie's third solo album,  which includes great songs like "Say You Say Me", "Ballerina Girl", "Love Will Conquer All", and of course the title track "Dancing On The Ceiling"...
