On Monday night, the Yankees vs. Orioles game at Yankee Stadium came to a standstill when a cat ran onto the field.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the cat found its way onto the warning track, sending the grounds crew onto a chase that took a couple of minutes.

The cat tried multiple times to climb the outfield wall to escape its pursuers, but didn't quite get up to it.

As the grounds crew gave chase, the crowd went wild with chants of "MVP!"

When the grounds crew would try to grab the cat it would run, spurring more noise from the crowd cheering it on.

Finally, the chase ended when the cat unknowingly ran into the stands on the third baseline and the crew shut the door behind it.
