Your house is a mess with wrapping paper, bows and boxes everywhere right?  Hesitate before you throw away because much of it is recyclable.  If you are an Otsego County resident then you're in luck because each Otsego County transfer station is open today after being closed December 25th.  There is no charge to drop off recyclables.

Here's what CAN be recycled from your holiday unwrappings: wrapping paper (not aluminum covered), boxes, discarded home electronics (computers, monitors, televisions, stereos, etc.).  There is no limit on volume you can drop off.

For more information on recycling in Otsego County, call the Otsego County Solid Waste Department at 607-547-4225 or visit them on-line at OtsegoCounty.com/solidwaste.
