An event born from a collaboration between SUNY Oneonta's Office of Sustainability, Residential Life and the Move Out Committee and the ARC Otsego's Otsego ReUse Center at 23 Duane St. in Oneonta to keep perfectly good, usable items that college students don't want out of the trash before heading home for the summer, is better than ever this year. The intention of the "Move Out" sale is to keep these items out of the landfill, especially since they are certainly not garbage items.

Typically, the items would be sold by the Otsego ReUse Center with proceeds benefiting the ARC Otsego and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities whom they serve. This year, all the items under the tent today are FREE. It's a dream come true for anyone who loves good free stuff.

Anything else at the Otsego ReUse Center is for sale but at very cheap prices to make things affordable and don't be surprised if you come across some wonderful treasures because inventory changes daily at the ReUse Center which is open 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The latest good news from the center is that they are expanding after purchasing the Moose Lodge that is right around the corner from the current site. The Moose Lodge is quite large and will be able to hold a large amount of additional inventory with the Otsego ReUse able to offer much more to shoppers who are looking for gently used household items of all types. You won't find clothes at the ReUse Center except when they hold today's "Move Out" Day event but you'll find almost everything else.

The Otsego ReUse Center recommends you get to this event early today for best selection because it all goes fast, especially since it's free.
